A Halloween weekend festival in one of the most musical and spooky cities in the world. It can only be one thing:
The 2009 Voodoo Experience.
Voodoo is like no other festival on earth. Held in City Park in New Orleans, it brings together a wildly eclectic mix of mainstream superstars, indie up-and-comers, and local legends. The result is a musical melange of a festival that could only happen in as quirky and storied a city as New Orleans.
In the past, headliners have included big names such as Green Day, Rage Against The Machine, Wilco and Nine Inch Nails (Trent Reznor is a former resident of the Crescent City). This year, the lineup is no less star studded. A partial list of performers:
KISS, Eminem, Jane's Addiction, Widespread Panic, Ween, the Flaming Lips, Lenny Kravitz, Justice, Wolfmother, The Pogues, Fischerspooner, Mates Of State, Robert Randolph, George Clinton, Silversun Pickups, Janelle Monae, The Cool Kids, Rebirth Brass Band, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Beausoleil, Generationals
And, as they say, many, many more. Also, Eminem fans should note that Voodoo will be Em's only show of 2009. That's worth your price of admission right there. And speaking of tickets, why not secure yours right now?
Stay tuned to our Voodoo page for much more Voodoo as we approach Halloween weekend. Voodoo Experience 2009 on Fuse and Fuse.tv will be one to remember.

A couple of girls from Alabama would like to come down for the voodoo festival. If anyone that won tickets can't make it we would make the drive
