Check Check Check, Check It Out!

Posted on July 22, 2008 at 01:45 PM

My Dearest SURSers,

With the summer wearing on, and summer tours and festivals in full swing…I have done loads of research on many bands to see what they have been up to!  One band I want to point out to everyone is Hawthorne Heights.  I want to give a shout out to JT, Eron, Matt, and Micah.  I think that it is awesome that they have gotten back to making music the way that they know how!  They have been through a lot over the last year and their new song “Rescue Me” sounds incredible.  It truly reflects how amazing of artists they really are.  If you get a chance to get out to Projekt Revolution this summer definitely check them out!  They are also playing other smaller shows on their days in between Projekt Revolution shows so go and check out their MySpace page or their website (I’ll attach links below) so that you don’t miss them.  Also, don’t forget to go and support them on August 5th (next Tuesday) when their new album Fragile Future comes out!  Well until next time!

Hey SURS Junkies!

So as many of you know or saw on myspace…Alkaline Trio was just here in the studio!  They were an amazing group of guys and really get into it deep with Steven.  Also, after listening to the new album a few times, I have to say it is very enjoyable.  And since today is Tuesday, that means its new music day!!!!!  I don’t want to talk about any of this week’s releases, but about one that came out last week!  Street Dogs, “State of

Grace

” is an awesome CD!  I remember my days in high school where I would drive around blasting Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys and this album is a new matured sound that makes me want to return to those roots.  I will definitely be listening to this album for a long time and finding deeper meaning in it.  Well I hope this has encouraged you all to go out and buy a new CD that you should have already gotten last week (sorry im lagging :-D)

Until next time,

Matt the Intern
