Q and A

Posted on July 31, 2006 at 11:24 PM

Guten Tag mein Freunds!

Rockin' the German today.  Love Falco.

Anyway someone mentioned setting up a Q&A on the blog and I think that's a fabulous idea.  One I'll be bringing up at untitled HQ.

Wednesday we're taping with the Forecast.  It airs later in August but we're taping this week.  It's exciting.

Also, Kill Hannah's new record Until There's Nothing Left of Us drops at midnight.  It's a must have.

Rock on peeps.

your friend,

Steven

Just watched Lilo and Stitch for the first time.  LOVED IT.

Quiz-No's

Posted on July 28, 2006 at 07:43 PM

Zup peoples

So, the quiz to win the couch is pretty damn hard.

Keep at it though.

Especially fans in Hawaii.  How awesome would that be?  To have to bring the couch all the way to Oahu.

Nice.

DON'T GIVE UP.

Steven

A WARPED Day in the Life PHOTOBLOG!!!

Posted on July 26, 2006 at 05:54 PM

Denver

In honor of this Warped Wednesday, we're bringing you the first edition of "A WARPED Day In The Life PHOTOBLOG," a new weekly installment with exclusive on-the-road photos of some of our favorite Warped Tour artists.  This week kicks off in Denver with Ben, Brian, Fran, Josh and Rob of FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES!

So without further ado, let's really get started!

Fataphoto

The day starts off with a signing at the Alternative Press Tent.

Fataphoto2

Photos are taken...

Franautograph

Shirts, magazines, body parts and other random objects are signed.

Fuse

Next, it's off to do some press.  Wait...is that a FUSE mic Josh is holding?!?

Fuse1

Why yes it is!  (You might recognize A-Train from his very own FUSE Warped Blog at fuse.tv/warped).

Franbaseball

Warped isn't all work all the time though.  Fran takes a little time to hit balls at the Major League Baseball tent. Fans can sometimes catch bands engaging in tournaments with one another at various times throughout the day.

Brianthumbs

Brian takes a little time to be annoyed at all the photos! ;)

And then of course, there is the most important time of the day...SHOWTIME!

Fatalive

Benlive

All and all, it's a long and hot "WARPED Day in the Life," but the crowd is well worth it.

Be sure to check in next Wednesday for the next installment! And if you haven't already, check out From Autumn To Ashes, along with all the other awesome Vagrant Bands playing on the Vagrant Major League Baseball Stage!

Riverboat Gamblers are the Second Coming of Rock and Roll

Posted on July 25, 2006 at 11:39 PM

And who's the first?
Rocket From the Crypt.
That's right.
When I have a song in my head for days somethings up.
Trust me, I have a fifth sense about these things (Steven doesn't have a sense of smell - it's true.)

I have had On Again, Off Again and Don't Bury Me...I'm Still Not Dead by the Riverboat Gamblers in my head for the past few days and it's showing no sign of slowing.

Their new record To the Confusion of Our Enemies looks like this

and should be in your record collection.
If there's something missing in your life it' sprobably the lack of ass kicking rock and roll.
This will fill that void.
And overflow.
Go get it.

See how I love?
your friend,
Steven

Ahoy campers, it's Steven.  Whuzup.  Just watched Fuse F-Ups Volume 3.   Funny stuff, us screwing up on TV and all that.  I hope you all enjoy our flubs and broadcasting tragedies as much as we did screwing them up.

I gots to tell you we have so much awesomeness (spelling much?) coming up on SURS that I have no choice but to tell you about it.

The Forecast are performing.  They have the song AND WE ALL RETURN TO OUR ROOTS that I can't get enough of.  I wonder if they'll play it?  I wonder.

Paramore and Cute Is What We Aim For will be joining us in the field.  You know how we do with Paramore and I'm sure CIWWAF will be loads of fun.

New Found Glory will be stopping by.  And peforming.  THAT'S F**KIN RIGHT!!! 'nuff said.

And one of my favorite bands Kill Hannah are finally making a stop at the rock show.  I've been a huge fan of these dudes for years and couldn't be happier they'll be sitting down to chat.  Their new record Until There's Nothing Left of Us comes out August 1st.  Go get it.  You will not be disappointed.

See?  See how we treat you?  CUZ WE'RE AWESOME.

And so are you.  Thanks for spending time with us.  And if you want a piece of us to have in your home.  Take the SURS couch quiz at fuse.tv/stevenscouch.  It's a doozy.

hugs to you all

your friend,

Steven

Want to play with some of your favorite Warped bands?

Posted on July 21, 2006 at 01:03 PM

Hello, rock pals!

It's been a long time since I've popped over here to Untitled Blog Land to say howdy to everyone, but I've got a good excuse - I spent almost two full weeks out on Vans Warped Tour and have been practically living in an edit room since I got back! It's nice to see the light of day again...I was worried I was going to get rickets if I didn't get a little sunshine soon!

Speaking of Warped, the main purpose of this post is to hip you already-hip peeps to a very cool game Fuse created with our friends at Vans Warped Tour:

WARPED TOUR MASSACRE!

Click on over to http://fuse.tv/warped/game/index.php and you can BECOME either:

Geoff from Thursday
Spencer from Underoath
Fat Mike from NOFX, or
Justin from Motion City Soundtrack!

Once you've chosen your character, the game will randomly select one of the other rockers as your opponent in a battle to the death! Now, I'm not a videogame kind of guy - especially violent ones - but this thing is a friggin' scream! If an old fart like me with no hand-eye coordination can enjoy it, then I'm sure some of you gamers are going to become addicted very quickly!

Here are a couple screen shots featuring the four "characters" and their weapons of choice [yes, we know that Geoff is on the left and Justin on the right - the names on top are just for scoring, not for where the players are standing!]. Play on, and enjoy your MASSACRE!

Does anyone else watch Rockstar:  Supernova?

I'm a notorious hater of these types of reality shows but this one, I kind of like.  Especially, when I can forward through stuff.

Thoughts? Concerns?  Complaints?

Nerd Nation

Posted on July 20, 2006 at 04:12 PM

So I'm a big fat truckin' nerd.
It's true.  I read comic books and collect little toys.
Sometimes I buy them on eBay, sometimes at fun little shops like ToyTokyo in NYC.
Anyways, I think they're cool.  I'm a geek, what can I say.

Presently reading Hellboy Vol. 6, Strange Lands and some old Hellblazer trades.
Just got a copy of the new Bronx record.  I may explode due to the impending excitement.
If you don't know the power of the Bronx.  Go buy an album and testify.  It's rock and roll in all it's glory.

Which sorely need right now.

word to your mothers.
Steven
