Hey folks!
As Steven mentions in tonight's episode, Evil Ink Comics has officially launched a new home: http://www.evilinkcomics.net/.
Evil Ink, as a lot of you know, is the imprint of Claudio Sanchez's comics and graphic novels telling the entire Coheed & Cambria sci-fi saga.
The newly-redesigned site is pretty cool, so if you're a fan of Coheed - or just of comics in general - check it out!
Cheers,
ProBRUCEr

It's your lucky day, fans of SURS and H.I.M.!
First off, those fine Finn fellows have granted us a download of their fantastic track "Wings of a Butterfly," which you can make your own at www.fuse.tv/steven.
Second, we've grabbed some still pictures from our episode with Ville and Mige, 'cause we know that you can't get enough snaps of their majesties! Here are a couple, and there are two more at the very end of this post.
And finally, starting Monday, 1/30, H.I.M. will be one of the options in our Viewer's Choice Thursday poll for the episode to air on Thursday, 2/9! Their episode on the couch will be in the running with other punctuated groups who've paid us a visit: Panic! At The Disco, The Academy Is..., Against Me!, and Plain White T's.
You can vote as often as you like at www.fuse.tv/polls, and even though those options don't go live until Monday, feel free to check out the current round and weigh in on which episode will air next week on Viewer's Choice Thursday!
We love H.I.M., and we love YOU, so we hope you enjoy the MP3, the photos, and the poll!
Cheers,
ProBRUCEr

Voting has begun for Spin.com's BAND OF THE YEAR competition, and some members of the SURS family are in the running:
MOTION CITY SOUNDTRACK
PANIC! AT THE DISCO
NIGHTMARE OF YOU
BOYS NIGHT OUT
THE ACADEMY IS...
Also included are Valencia on i-surrender Records (who we've mentioned on the show), as well as Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Greenhornes, Blood On The Wall, Imogen Heap, Be Your Own Pet, Shout Out Louds, Wolf Parade, Feist, The Fall Of Troy, and Alexisonfire.
The competition pits bands head-to-head in a bracket system, much like sports competitions. Head on over and vote for your favorites to advance to the next round! You weigh in and cast a vote for any of those bands at http://www.spin.com/tournament05/bracket2.html.
Cheers,

As you know, we love to give you free downloads through our main online HQ at www.fuse.tv/steven, and we just took down a few that have been up for a few weeks, including one from our recent guests The Early November!
The men of T.E.N. wanted us to let you know that even if you missed out on downloading "Decoration," you can still go get a bunch of their songs for free at their PureVolume site. Hit up www.purevolume.com/theearlynovember to check out their brand new track "Hair," plus "Sunday Drive," "I Want To Hear You Sad," "Fluxy," "Exchanging Two-Hundred," and "Baby Blue."
And if you've never been to PureVolume before, browse around and check out TONS of new bands with songs available for download and/or streaming!
Also, stay tuned to www.fuse.tv/steven for much more exciting free music in the near future!

Any of you within driving distance of Miami have to check out the first US version of one of Europe's gigantic festivals: Global Gathering.
On March 18, many of our SURS favorites will be performing in Miami's Bicentennial Park, including Rise Against, Alkaline Trio, Coheed and Cambria, Killswitch Engage, Nine Inch Nails, and Avenged Sevenfold. There will be multiple tents and stages catering to fans of different musical genres, and you can find all the info and/or buy tickets at their HQ: http://globalgatheringfestival.com.
If any of you end up going, let us know how it is!!

We've run across a great charity project that we wanted to hip you to (and which Steven will address on air tonight): ROCK-N-ROLL BINGO!
This is an innovative fundraiser that addresses causes such as homelessness, AIDS awareness, peace, human rights, economic justice, artistic expression, and the environment.
Marquee name supporters include Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tom Morello of Audioslave, Coheed & Cambria, and someone we've spent time with on SURS, Weezer's Scott Shriner.
All you LA-area viewers can go enjoy some legal gambling for charity tomorrow, January 19, with Scott from Weezer calling the numbers! This time around, the event will be held at Crane's Hollywood Tavern, but for info on future events or more background on the group, you can check out http://www.rocknrollbingo.org/.
As always, thanks for watching, thanks for rocking, and thanks for caring!
Cheers,

As Steven will inform you on tonight's show, our very funny friends from Finland have introduced a terrific new item to their web store: H.I.M. gift certificates!
If you visit their online shopping haven at www.heartagram.com/store, you'll find lots of cool shwag, plus gift certificates in denominations from $10 to $100, which you can buy your friends and loved ones for redemption on any item at their online boutique!
I just thought it was a nifty idea, and wanted to pass it along in case you wanted to shed a little dark light into someone's day.
Thanks for watching, and thanks for rocking!
Cheers,

Hi Everybody! Steven here. I wanted to start the year off correctly with a post about a show. Couple members of the Untitled Team, myself and our wonderful talent booker Anne, went to see Mr. Ben Gibbard play the Bowery Ballroom t'other evening.
For those of you who don't know, cuz we don't play them that often, Ben is the lead singer of Death Cab for Cutie and one half of the Postal Service.
Anyways, he decide since DCFC were in NY for SNL he would do a special acoustic show. And he did. And it was awesome.
Not only did he play bunches of Death Cab but pulled out a few PS tunes and a few covers, one of which an old Monkees tune written by the great Neil Diamond. Being a huge Neil fan I was super-thrilled.
There's lots coming up in aught six for you all. We can't wait to get started.
until always
Steven
By the by, Bad Brains are playing CBGB's February 24th and 25th. Go.

Greetings, and happy new year, Untitled Rock Bloggers!
As you've noticed from the series of previous posts, I've been remiss in letting y'all know about some of my faves from 2005 and what I'm looking forward to in 2006. I promise I'll get around to assembling some lists for your perusal, but first I wanted to let you know about the next couple days of SURS episodes.
We're tickled pink to kick things off this week with two special band hybrid shows, taking a look back at 2005 and talking about some of the most exciting things 2006 has in store!
TONIGHT, 1/9 - members of TAKING BACK SUNDAY and THURSDAY will hang together and shoot the breeze with Steven.
TOMORROW, 1/10 - members of NIGHTMARE OF YOU, THE HONORARY TITLE, and MEN, WOMEN, & CHILDREN will sit for a joint interview.
Our episodes premiere at 10pm ET, 7pm PT each night, and repeat at 3am ET, 12am PT. If you don't know where to find Fuse in your area, you can look it up by ZIP code at www.fuse.tv.
Cheers,
ProBRUCEr
