ok then it's less then a week until we head out on our first real headlining run in almost 2 years, in other words first time we get to play longer then a half hour and for fans that mostly came to see us, though i'm hoping some might come to see some of the bands we are bringing along (the new frontiers, paper rival, mansions), then of course there are the local towny filler people usually armed with their own musical related experiences "my brother was in cinderella and toured with bon jovi in 1984 , thing is they only did one gig it was out on long island somewhere at a club called sleaze ball rockajees, my sister blew a guy from this band that opened for the band that opened for cinderella.......blah blah blah, with this tour comes a new van to transport us in a more comfortable manner, not necessarily a brand new one, but one thats not on the verge of complete breakdown, this factoid is probably of no interest to those who are fans but understand how its all connected, when sitting in rotting, smelly, disintegrated, bass distorting , ripped speaker, farting horn sound system van for eight hours band is unhappy upon arrival this then leads to crankiness or possibly cranky face on stage, which then leads random in crowd to say "why do you look so pissed off...." and then i respond "IM NOT F'N PISSED OFF AND HAVE NO IDEA WHY YOU WITH THINK THAT AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!"
rehearsals for tour start tomorrow if there are any songs anyone of you really want to hear specifically message us on the old myspace.
spent last weekend in LA and was lucky enough to watch a taping of 'Talk Soup' one of my favs from the E! channel (kardashians and flipping out being my second favorites), Joel the host was funny as usual and very entertaining, randomly got to watch the taping of another show called yo gabba yo gabba, which is this new childrens show, it has amazing creatures designed by 'giant robot' and is by far the coolest kids show since the muppet show, enclosed are some pics of me with some of the stars of the show.

The end of an era. The dawning of a fantastic
night gown. Sequins make me sick.
Old School
Jon's away at SpaceKamp. Aaron just got back from New Orleans stuffed
with gumbo. I gar-un-tee.
New School
Nate had to choose. Mike caught the blues and
had to move. Dustin's cuttin' loose and payin' dues. Casey got bruised before hanging
with Moose. "How'd I wake up in Muzzissippi?", he mused. Jarrod's buying used, so we can finally drive
with tunes. I've been a little too subdued to tell you the truth, and a tiny bit confused of what got me in
this mood. Ooh.
Trailer fell off right before crossing a bridge
out of NY.
Passenger side view mirror removal by wall.
(that was me)
Giving random creeps rides.
The stocking cap. shutter.
The brakes catching fire... A lot.
Bullet holes.
Sleeping. Driving. Eating.
Living. Smoking. Talking. Loving. Listening.
Yelling. Coughing. Laughing. Hugging. Reading.
Watching. Nothing.
Screaming: "PULL OVER, I HAVE TO PEE!"
Here's to more cup holders ya'll. See you guys

We have finally reached the last leg of our tour, home stretch, our crusty home on wheels/ dilapidated van is been put through the ringer, the sideview mirror hangs on by duct tape, before the duct tape we would have to at least reach 50mph in order for wind velocity to carry and raise the mirror to a usable level, otherwise it sat flaccid, droopy, and broken hugging the passenger side door, each day it seems like a new light in the dashboard becomes illuminated, all the fun ones like 'service engine soon', and the airbag light, and the oil one, we've serviced this van for more then it wants to be serviced, filled it with so much love, love juices, oils, greases, lubes, lubricated ourselves even to make the van a little more comfortable against our bare skin, countless messages have been splattered across the windshield by mini mustard package bugs, fellow tour mates have etched perverse messages and phallic symbols with their fingertips and road grime, Usually after each tour I take our trailer to my parents house and store it on the driveway on display for the entire neighborhood, the massive cartoon portrayals of female and male genitals across the trailers side and over the passenger windows didn't leave my parents too happy Shows have been great fans have been appreciative, seattle and california was amazing, pomona was a personal fav, as well as san fran, all up and down the west coast, utah and colorado was insane in a good way, texas and down south of course treat us so well, we will be heading out later this summer for our own headlining run, and look forward to spending more time with all our fans and friends See ya soon.
Love Jarrod

We have begun our tour with Mae, started in Philly and has taken us through our hometown NYC, and we are currently freezing our asses off in Boston, but not really compared to Rhode Island last month(see first video blog) so far so good, vegan treats returned to visit us in Lancaster PA, once again beautifully decorated super sweet vegan deserts, awoke with sonic the following morning, being from NY sonic has always fascinated me, pressing the big candy red button and hoping some super cute girl in a short skirt and roller skates will roll up with your deep fried fatty selection...a deep fried fatty in roller skates that might be more like it, but it actually was just some random dude who walked out with my tray, no skirt, no roller skates no nothing, picked up lunch at a gas station in CT, it was one of those Dunkin Donuts within a 7/11 sort of set up, grab a sheet of wax paper, lift the little plastic door and out comes some over sweetened muffin that tastes closer to a cupcake then an actual muffin (but no vegan treat, that's for sure), stopped at a luxurious gas station/car wash today, it had a massive sign in the shape of a hand, it was funny imagining this hand tumbling over from high above and flattening our tour manager Casey, funny in a Godzilla sort of a way not cause we don't love him Thanks to every one who has been coming out to see us, it makes me very happy, all of us very happy.
Thanks to our friends from Vegan treats:
Their cakes make us pose in strange ways. . .
So does Sonic breakfast:
This was right before our tour manager was yanked up to heaven
Then we grew tongues.

We are about a week into our tour, the first two weeks being our headlining run, so far so good. We actually got to choose who we wanted to tour with on this part and we chose The Teeth and The Dead Trees, two awesome bands. These first couple of shows are in smaller towns, the ones off the beaten path, but all have been amazing: Albany, Rhode Island, Northampton, Pittsburgh, Grand Rapids, Cincinnati.
In Allentown, PA a fan and now new friend brought us a beautiful selection of vegan cakes from her bakery - vegan treats, super tasty desserts that had me scaling the ceiling from a sugar high, when I came down I slipped into a coma only to awake to the sensation of complete slow motion. In Grand Rapids I ate a burrito the size of my arm, well one third of it, before I thought I was gonna projectile (it was good though). Albany was a favorite, even though it was in the middle of a blizzard, this certainly didn't stop our eager drunken fans supporting us whole heartedly.
Finally got to see 'Juno' on our one night off, it hit home, glazed the eyes, just makes you wanna listen to the Moldy Peaches and impregnate the one you love, but seriously really liked it. How many years on this planet before I realize that movie popcorn and the massive candy boxes are all toxic. Sure the first couple of bites are enjoyable, but it's impossible to stop after those first few bites unless you're watching 'Saw,' but yeah cookie dough/butter/oil/chocolate/nacho cheeze ooze/sausage nut balllls regurgitation can put a damper on a fun night out at the movies. Sausage nut balls are only available at select theatres, specialty ones.
Thanks to everyone for coming out to our shows so far, fans have been awesome and they make me smile a little bit.
Jarrod
