Talking Metal has Ostronomy!
...and now for today's "Talking Metal Memo..."
* I am very disappointed to learn that Scars on Broadway, the group made up of System of a Down's Daron Malakian and John Dolmayan, have cancelled not only their October 14 appearance on the "Jimmy Kimmel" show, but also their entire North American tour. The group released a statement to Blabbermouth.net that said, "Late last week, Malakian concluded that his heart wasn't into touring at this time, so he made the decision to cancel all scheduled performances. There are no plans to reschedule." Talking Metal respects Daron's feelings, but let's hope he changes his mind and brings Scars out on the road.

* According to People magazine, Van Halen guitarist, Eddie Van Halen, is engaged to his girlfriend and publicist, Janie Liszewski. Congrats to the happy couple!
* Store management at Best Buy in Union, New Jersey has told Talking Metal that one of the world's most anticipated albums, Guns N' Roses' "Chinese Democracy" will be released on November 25; however, this has not been confirmed by Guns N' Roses' management.
