"Be-wahret...ein-ander...vor...Herz-leid...denn...kurz...ist...die...Zeit...die...ihr...bei-sammen...seid...denn...wenn...euch...auch...viele...Jahre...ver-einen...werden...sie...wie...Mi-nuten...euch...scheinen" -- Rammstein, 1995
Last February, Talking Metal posted an interview I conducted with Rammstein guitarist, Richard Z. Kruspe, regarding his great Emigrate project. Around that time, he was promoting the Emigrate release while recording new music with Rammstein. Since then, however, I haven't heard any official Rammstein news.
In March, Apocalyptica released "Worlds Collide," which featured Rammstein vocalist Till Lindemann on the track "Helden," which was very cool, but I can't wait to hear a proper new Rammstein release.
I checked their website, but the last new post was from November 2007.
I'm not attempting to insinuate that anything strange is going on in light of the lack of new news and the fact that there was a false rumor going around last Summer regarding Lindemann leaving the band and being replaced by former KMFDM singer, En Esch. I'm just hungry for some new music by the mighty Rammstien!
In fact, when I interviewed Richard Z, K., I told him that if I could be a member of any band, it would be Rammstein. My Ostronomy character, complete with my David Spain armour, would fit right in, and their futuristic, industrial vibe is exactly what I was shooting for with the Ostronomy project.
Until I read some new Rammstein news on www.blabbermouth.net, I will religiously check www.rammstein.com every day in hopes of learning the release date for Rammstein's next album.
Now, I'm going to get my Rammstein fix and watch their "Live aus Berlin" DVD!
Auf Widershen -- John Ostronomy

I can't wait for new Rammstein!
One of my fav bands of all time.
I hope everything's cool in their camp
Hey John -- thanks for being such a huge supporter of my favorite band. That was a cool interview you did with Richard, a few months back. I don't think there's anything to worry about re: the new album. These guys are perfectionists and they're taking their time. There are rumors of a November 08 release with a world tour to follow. We'll see! Pop in some time on www.herzeleid.com to visit -- we'd love to see you there!
Overkill, yes everything is cool in their camp, but I just can't wait for the new album!
Tills, thanks for the info! I will head on over to www.herzeleid.com!
I hear ya John. Here's hoping for that rumor to be real
Hey John,
I guess you will be into this interview with Paul from Rammstein (dated June 2008): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1mklek6LCA
Not much info about the new album but he talks about some technical background (mainly about guitar rig 3)
Also he mentions that he is now playing Gibson Les Paul, which is a good idea because his name is also Paul ;-)
Cheers,
Andreas.
Rammstein! One of the most underrated metal bands ever. Just need something new
i could never really understand what made these guys so famous, but they do have some great songs
Aside from their great songs I think it is definitely their live shows which convert anybody seeing it into a Rammstein fan.
Also, they had been sending CDs to David Lynch who then used two songs for "Lost Highway" - I guess that was an important step for their international career ...
