Brooke White and Jason Castro
...are the latest to go with good reason. Brooke was sweet and very talented but she lacked the personality of a star in my opinion. Shes going to do extremely well though because you all in those midwest states love her I hear. I found out also that they are releasing her album before AI7 again this summer so look out for that Brooke White fans.
Jason Castro I thought would have been top 3 but he performed HORRIBLY last week almost like it was on purpose. Which actually wouldnt be too bad of an idea. Look how successful Daughtry is and he was number four too. hmmm...
So we have the Davids and Syesha left. I think one of the Davids is gonna go because whoever is over there at American Idol is tring to keep me and Syesha from meeting and falling in love since we get all the cast-offs on The Sauce every Monday. With that said dont forget to catch me and Jason Castro on Monday (5/12) on The Sauce at 6pm! See you there!

Hi Jared,
I read your post from May 11th and I couldn't help but
think of you during Syesha's performance of FEVER and the song she did from Happy Feet : )i'm sure you've got that on TIVO LOL!!!!
After last nights results i'm guessing you're quite
excited since you'll finally get your wish to meet Miss Syesha this upcoming Monday : )
I'm a Cookie fan but I won't be disappointed if little
David wins the competition he's really good...I just
know that as soon as Cookie puts out an album it will
be going right next to my Daughtry album...Yep i've already reserved a spot for it...

Hey Paula!
Ok yea performances were great..whatever...what the hell happened to Paula Abdul last night???? She totally dropped the ball and let everyone know that not all is well with her or there was a breakdown in the production of the usually flawless show, or both? What do you guys think?
Paula is sooo nice. She is really the person that you see on camera. I mean how can she hide it? But obviously there is something that shes not being fully honest about in her personal life or maybe it was a behind the scenes mess up and we werent supposed to know. Is it possible that AI is scripted? Did she just forget her lines or her place? Hmmmm...wish I knew because it would explain A WHOLE LOT!!!

Personally, I think Paula is smokin' something. She's been acting screwed up ever since auditions!!! Wat's up with you, Paula?
Posted by: Krista | May 1, 2008 5:33:11 PM
I think they're very manipulative and I'd bet that they're not at all truthful about the voting results. I've been reading the americanidol.com forums and there are hundreds of posts about AI being scripted and rigged. Poor Paula - once again they'll pin it on her.
Posted by: Lola | May 1, 2008 8:17:40 PM
In Paula's defense why should Paula have to come clean about her personal life? I mean it's just that personal. But I do remember when I was watching her show "Hey Paula," uh yeah I watched it . . . a couple of times (whatever). Anyway, when I was watching it I noticed that she barely slept at all which made her act really weird. I mean I'm no psychologist but I think she is seriously suffering from an undiagnosed sleep disorder. I'm thinking sleep deprivation or insomnia. She is like crazy busy and she's just not getting enough sleep. I have watched numerous case studies of people who suffer from lack of sleep (no, no, I'm no that lame, just majoring in clinical psych) and it literally makes them act cuckoo for coco puffs! So everyone needs to just back up off Paula. Girlfriend just needs to pop an Ambien-- she'll be alright!

I definitely think it will be the Davids! I'm hoping Jason & Brooke pull of a good performance too :)

Welll I don't mind Syesha. She is a great vocalist, but I find her kinda boring at times.

Carly Smithson!?!?!?
OMG! What happened? Well I think AI definitely threw us all for a loop last night. But really that's why America watches because it's not as predictable as we think. Definitely the best pure singer but Carly is gone. It just goes to show and even Simon has said that it's not a talent competition but a popularity contest and that's why contestants in the present and past seasons are let go way before they should be.
But either way we wish Carly well and don't forget she'll be on The Sauce on Monday at 6pm EST! See you there!

I agree that Carly has a great voice. I just wonder if showing her tattoos every week was such a good idea. I like tattoos but it was really distracting me from her singing sometimes. You're right when you say it is a popularity contest. How else do you explain Jason Castro still being there. He is awful. How could anyone listen to a whole CD by him. My ears would bleed. And don't get me started on Brooke and David A. If ever I have trouble sleeping I'll just listen to them. I'll be asleep in 30 seconds.

I totally agree with you. Season 6 was sooo much better! ;-) I am biased though.

Michael Johns
You know....sometimes I hate to be right all the time. lol They went for the shock elimination and Michael Johns was sent home. I liked him although he wasnt a favorite of mine. David Cook has most of the vote for that type of performer but the good thing is you can see me interview Michael tonight on The Sauce. Savor it people!
See you tonight!

Hey Hey Hey
So Im tardy again! Sorry! Send me to the principals office.
To me AI was a little blah last week. My favs put in mediocre performances (David Cook, Carly Smithson). Jason Castro did his normal thing. I think he needs to really switch up because as we get down to the nitty gritty hes gonna need to gain fans. If he keeps doing what hes been doing he wont gain the fans needed to get him through to the end.
As I predicted and announced on Z100 with Shelley Wade here in NY, Ramiele was voted off. She was so sweet on The Sauce this past Monday. Shes about 4 feet tall but cute. She was much spunkier off camera than on which I dont understand because its when the cameras are on that you have to be on the top of your game. But oh well.
This week....
Top8..again the performances were ok. My favorites were David Archuleta and Jason Castro. David sang "Angels". I really dig his voice and I think he's gonna win especially if some of the other front runners keep putting up lack-luster performances as they did that night.
Michael Johns sang "Dream On" which is certainly my favorite Aerosmith song but also one of my ALL-TIME favorite songs. I thought he did a decent job. Im sure for someone who doesnt like that song as much as I do thought he did a great job. It certainly was a good way to start the show. Im hearing through the grapevine that he could be the "shock elimination" that happens atleast once a year. Its coming late this year as last year it came at top 16. ;-)
"I Believe" Syesha shouldnt have sang that song. She sounded wonderful but that doesnt mean it was good. "Huh?" you ask. You see...Thats Fantasias song and Fantasia killed it to the point where the only person that is allowed to sing it is Fantasia, Haha No, but seriously, it sounded to watered down. My girl could be in trouble but thats ok because Ill be right here to pick up the pieces. Muah Syesha! ;-)
Jason Castro looks like he's "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" but he sounded great! He wont win this season but he definitely is a breath of fresh air as far as this competition is concerned. I thought he did a great job but he does still need to cut his hair.
Not feeling Kristy Lee Cook. She sang "Anyway" and sounded probably the best that she has so far but she does not belong this far in the competiton. "Sorry!" in my Simon Cowell voice.
David Cook sand "Innocent" but he was guilty of falling off. Not good. Totally wasnt as good as hes been. He really needs to stay consistent to keep up with the other David that has millions of fans.
"The Show Must Go On" but Carly may not be there. Carly Smithson sang incredibly as usual but the song was whack. I really like her. She wont win but she'll get farther than this week. But she needs to choose better songs.
Brooke White...Boooooring. "And thats all I have to say about that." Forest Gump
All and all it was an ok show. I thought David Arculeta was great singing "Angels" and if the show ended today he would win. Syesha is in trouble but should not get sent home. Michael Johns is in trouble but who needs to go home is Kristy Lee Cook. Its time. We'll see tonight. See you there!

I was sad to see Michael go. I thought he was really good. Jason, Kristy, and Brooke need to go. They suck. Really, I only liked Michael Johns and David Cook but now that Michael's gone I guess I'm rooting for David. I hope the other David doesn't win. He reminds me of that stuffed animal monkey that claps those little metal things together. Plus, he puts me to sleep.

Top 9!!!! Finally a New Post! ;-)
Okay. Okay. My bad. I’ve been busy with shooting The Sauce among an album to finish, songs to write, and all that good stuff so I’m sorry I haven’t been keeping up with the AI Blog. I don’t know…vote me off or something.
Ok so let’s recap: Last time I left you, I critiqued the top 16 guys. This is a subject near and dear to my heart because guess what? That was the week I got voted off. Boohoo. So when seeing how bad they were it made me a little upset but it’s all good. Moving on. The casualties were:
Luke Menard – I said he had to go and he did. He sang “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” and Wham! he was gone.
Danny Noriega – Despite his Sanjaya-ish popularity he didn’t have what it took to get to the top 12. His performance of “Tainted Love” was a little creepy but I was surprised because there are a lot of people out there that like him.
Kady Malloy – Ok no matter what, do not carry on like that ever again! She started to cry almost uncontrollably and let the world know that she “sucked”. Baby, there’s life after American Idol. Believe me. It wasn’t her time talent wise but I wasn’t too surprised that she went.
Asia’h Epperson – Anyone with hyphens, apostrophes, slashes, or any other punctuation mark need not apply. I’m really trying to remember her and cant. Sorry sweetie.
Ok then the coveted Top 12! Let the pigeons fly and the trumpets sound! The Top 12 show was actually a good show with people really surprising me from Chikeze to Amanda Overmeyer. But alas, the stripper had to go! I guess Middle America
Top 11. Amanda Overmeyer was handed her walking papers. I wasn’t too surprised with this one. Amanda wasn’t that consistent and I think people just got tired. She needed a little more personality. When she was on The Sauce that following Monday it was apparent that she was bummed and a little fed up but I told her not to be bitter and to take what she learned and the publicity and run with it. Maybe she will, maybe she won’t but I told her. Being number 11 really sucks because you miss out on A LOT of money. The top 10 goes on tour and has a blast! When I was voted off I was so happy that I wasn’t 11 and I didn’t even make it as far as she did. I was lucky 13!
Top 10! The real money makers are in the building and Chikeze was shown the exit post-haste! He’s my boy but as he said on The Sauce yesterday it was “his time” and he bowed out gracefully! Hit me up while you’re in NY homie!
So now it’s the top 9 this week. I think that Kristy girl needs to go and perhaps Ramiele. Also, I still don’t like non-Americans in AMERICAN Idol but Michael and Carly are doing well. If one of them wins I think more than a few people will be upset.
I’m looking forward to seeing the show tonight. Again, I’m sorry for not posting like I should but a brotha gets busy!
Fuse’s AI,
Jared

Guys - Top16
What up everybody!
Ok let's just get right into it! This week was actually pretty good for the guys. There were definitely some strong performances and I think one or two of these guys are stars that will be on The Sauce one day. I still can't believe its been a whole year since I've been on that stage! WOW! Time really does fly. Ok enough reminiscing (if thats how you spell it)....
I'm gonna start with David Archuleta. He sang "Another Day In Paradise", which is a GREAT song that we all know and love and I think he did a really nice job with it. He added his own spin on it which is risky with such a popular song but I think he did well. He is a little feminine but that's ok. The judges told him to lighten up because he sings a lot of "down" sounding songs but I think he chooses songs that he connects with emotionally and that's a really good thing. I like this kid and I see him going far although Simon did say that he would make it through to the next week and for me that was the kiss of death.
Jason Castro needs to cut his hair.....please. Now. ASAP. With the quickness. I'm watching now and I think he sounds good but I can't get past the hair. EWWWW....do women like that? He seems like hes a good looking guy right ladies?!?! Would you want that nasty clump of dirty, nasty unwashed hair hitting you in the face as he went in for a kiss? I think not. But anyway...moving along. He sang Hallelujah which is an amazing song that I felt he did ok with. I'm not mad at him for trying. The ending sucked although he'll definitely make it to the next round. Oh God! That hair! Scared me again sorry...
Don't ever perform Lionel Richie ever again in your life Mr. David Cook! Hello what were you thinking? First of all anyone can walk into any bar in America and see 9 guys just like this one. I admire that he took a very "pop" song and turned it rockish but it sounded forced to me. Randy and Paula said it was "Brilliant". Ummm...no. Simon liked it too and I can't believe it because I usually agree with him except when he was judging me of course. ;-)
Ok so I thought this was AMERICAN Idol? This guy Michael Johns is from Australia! Does he know that they have Australian Idol? Listen..we let Keith Urban in already. I don't know if we have room for more. Feel me son?!? Damn! His performance reminded me of a high school talent show. Regular. I had to change the channel for a second because he was pissing me off.......ok I'm back and he's still pissing me off. He's gone after tonight.
Throw your dollars up!!!! Whoo Hoo!!! David Hernandez!!! HAHAHAHAHA Poor guy. I actually feel bad for him. He was trying to get some dough and never realized that the whole world would know that he was a male dancer. And not a manly male dancer dancing for fat and ugly women of Glendale, Arizona but he's a male dancer for other males. Which is cool with me but maybe not those midwest voters! Feel me? OK his performance....NOOOOO...CELINE DION?!??! He is just digging a hole! No man should ever sing Celine Dion. Ever. Isn't it in a rule book somewhere? I think the "Gays for Jared Myspace Page" just turned into "Gays for David Hernandez"! But let me ask you guys some questions...Should he get kicked off for those pictures? Is he this year's version of my girl Antonella Barba? What do you think?
And then WHAM! it hit me! Why is this guy singing soft-ass George Michael? This is horrible and he will definitely go home this week and he needs to go. They should have escorted his ass home right after that last horrible note. Some songs are meant to be left in the 80's never to be resurrected again. I think this is Luke's demise. That is the corniest thing I have ever seen. Don't get mad at me like Randy said "I'm just keeping it real".
Chikezie...I know this guy personally. We actually auditioned together last season and unfortunately he got cut Hollywood week. He has a great voice but it sounds too mature for his look. Chikeze is one of the nicest guys I've ever met but I honestly don't feel it's safe for him after this performance. A Whitney song is a hard thing to do even without crack. Good luck homie!
The only thing that was tainted about "Tainted Love" was the fact that Danny Noriega was singing it! He had some good moments but all in all it was pretty damn scary. Please, please someone get him some more guy-liner as soon as possible before he gets upset. This performance was extremely amateur which I guess is what the spirit of American Idol is supposed to be but it's not anymore after last season.
After all that said, I think that this year's group of guys is much better than the girls and we might have a male winner this year which is great! Let's just hope he doesn't start stripping! Check back in tomorrow cuz it's the girls turn! Talk to you then!

Wow! That was brudal although i didnt agree with most of it....its ok! But Danny Noriega was a sexy beast with his little "tainted" dance moves. With his little booty wiggling everywhere. It was adorable.
