YouTube comments on Gaga's post have been largely positive, with one fan noting, "This version is more personal for me and for little monsters" and another stating, "This one is way better than Madonna style."

Mark Hoppus, on behalf of Blink 182, has set up an eBay auction site where he's offering rare items in an effort to raise funds for survivors.

Boys II Men are raising money for the Red Cross as they say they have a "special relationship" with Japan.

Lady Gaga is selling red and white wristbands on her website bearing the message "We Pray for Japan" for $5 each.

Supermodel Petra Nemcova, who survived the 2004 tsunami in South Asia, is asking people to donate to her Happy Hearts Fund, raising money for children in natural disaster areas.

Over 30 of the biggest names in contemporary music have joined together for the worldwide release of Songs For Japan, an unprecedented compilation of 38 chart-topping hits and classic tracks, available worldwide on the iTunes Store for $9.99. Proceeds from the album's sale will benefit the disaster relief efforts of the Japanese Red Cross Society.
