A Bottle of Red, A Bottle Of Whup-Ass

Don't piss off Billy Joel. The Montauk Long Island Monster, whose driving history makes clear that Joel is prone to loss of control, has fired back at a New Zealand reporter who dared to call a lot of his stuff garbage. Joel's anger stems from a perceived about face by the writer, Grant Smithies, who Joel claims was all buddy buddy during the interview, but then went on to write that much of Joel's later output was 'sentimental rubbish.' So what we have here is devious reporter who got to hang out with Billy Joel, and then later wrote the truth. Also, we have Billy Joel, who deserves to feel slighted, but who must still face the fact the his later music is, in fact, sentimental rubbish. It's a fascinating face-off. It's like Face-Off.

Oh by the way, Lenny Kravitz will NOT be joining Velvet Revolver. I think that's to the benefit of all parties, including you, the fan.
