Well, that was fast. Britney Spears told Paris Hilton that she no longer wants to be seen in public with her, and Paris has responded by leaving Britney off of the list of her Christmas party and also by calling her an animal (a nice touch). So, an addendum to to go with our earlier theory: Britney paid Paris to be seen with her, it backfired, she is staying in and telling Paris to keep the dough, and Paris, because it's fun and she can, is calling Britney an animal. This whol thing is actually fascinating, and awesome.
In one of Hollywood's shortest-lived friendships, Britney has apparently upset Paris Hilton enough to earn the nickname 'Animal' from the haughty heiress.
"Britney called Paris and said she had decided not to be seen in public with her 'for now'," a source told Us Weekly magazine, apparently explaining why the once-inseparable twosome haven't been photographed together since the end of November.
After dancing on the tables in LA club Hyde, cruising in the heiress' silver sports car and sleeping over at her LA home, Britney apparently decided that the bad press she got from hanging out with the socialite wasn't worth it.
"Britney told Paris that it's not personal," adds the insider.
But Paris appears to be getting her revenge on her ex-pal - most recently making headlines for some very unladylike behaviour...
The mum of two was apparently left off the invite list for the 25-year-old heiress's December 18 Christmas bash and Paris has reportedly dubbed the hard-partying singer the "Animal", according to the magazine.
"Britney doesn't think about things before she does them. She just acts out," explains the source.
While Britney's rep couldn't be reached for comment, Paris' spokesman told the magazine: "Her friendships are her own business."

"Hey Australia," the starlet said, accompanied by minders. "I'm really excited to be here in Sydney for New Year's."
And so begins Paris Hilton's trip to Sydney for New Year's. The sultry starlet arrived down under on Thursday to spend the next week or so in Oz. Ostensibly, the purpose of her trip is to pick a bikini babe for something or other; in reality, she's just soaking up a free trip and getting her name in the blogs and on TV. The best part? Paris revealed her plans for 2007: "Um. Quite a lot."
Australian advertising guru John Singleton has flown the American socialite to Sydney to select the face of a new beer, the Bondi Blonde.
Early Thursday, the celebrity bad-girl bustled through assembled media at Sydney airport wearing a striped singlet top and huge white sunglasses, her trademark fashion accessory.
"Hey Australia," the starlet said, accompanied by minders. "I'm really excited to be here in Sydney for New Year's."
The international celebrity, who starred in the reality television show The Simple Life, is tasked with choosing a bikini babe to promote the Australian beverage at 13:00 on January 1 2007.
But while Singleton's son Jack and professional surfer Koby Abberton whittled down a throng of hopefuls to 40 finalists at Sydney's Hilton Hotel, the singer showed beach-going fans how it was done.
After testing the waters in a skimpy two-piece at Sydney's Bondi Beach, camera phones snapped into action as a crowd gathered to watch Hilton rinsing off under the beachside showers.
Undeterred by the attention, she seemed optimistic when asked what the new year might hold for her.
"Um. Quite a lot," predicted the celebrity who was only last week voted voted the number 1 Google search for 2006.

Holy sh*t, this couldn't be more perfect if you threw a few chimps and an oxygen tank into the mix (though they are likely already in the mix) - MICHAEL JACKSON IS FREAKING MOVING TO LAS VEGAS.
That's right. The, ahem, King Of Pop had been in self-imposed exile in Bahrain and had recently, no joke, been living in an Irish castle owned by Michael Flatley, the cat from Riverdance. Seriously, we can't make this stuff up. Anyway, MJ and his crew of shorties arrived in Sin City over the weekend and are rumored to be setting up shop for a number of projects.
The Las Vegas strip is adding a new glitzy icon - Michael Jackson.
The King of Pop is leaving his self-imposed exile overseas and heading for Sin City, claims Vegas dealmaker Jack Wishna.
Wishna told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the 48-year-old entertainer is planning a big comeback in the gambling mecca.
"We are working on several projects," Wishna told the newspaper.
Jackson and his children - Prince Michael, 9, Paris, 8, and Prince Michael II, 4 - arrived in Las Vegas Saturday night from Ireland, where they've been living part-time in a castle.
Since his June 2005 acquittal on child molestation charges, Jackson has been splitting his time between Bahrain and Ireland.
Jackson's surprise relocation back to the States comes just a day after his father, Joe Jackson, vowed his son would never live in this country again. Wishna would not reveal where on the Strip Jackson plans to relaunch his career, but he said the Grammy-winning superstar could be bigger in Vegas than Celine Dion.
"One of the greatest entertainers in the world is poised to return to the top of the entertainment world soon," Wishna said.

James Brown has twirled and sweated his way to the great stage in the sky. It is no overstatement to say that James Brown was the most legendary, respected, groundbreaking musician alive. He invented funk. The snare drum sound from Funky Drummer has been officially called the most sampled sound in history. Read about him, listen to his music. Brown died early Christmas morning after checking into an Atlanta hospital two days earlier for conditions related to pneumonia. R.I.P. James Brown.
With his 1965 signature hit, "I Got You (I Feel Good)," James Brown went from rhythm-and-blues fame to pop music stardom, capturing a huge white as well as a black audience. For the millionaire singer and songwriter, the success was a far cry from the poverty of his early years. He was born on May 3, 1933 in a one-room shack near Barnwell, South Carolina. His father, Joe Brown, tapped pine trees in the surrounding woods, and sold the sap for making turpentine. After his mother left the family, seven-year-old James and his father moved to Augusta, Georgia.
Blessed with musical talent, young James learned to play the guitar, piano and drums - all the while, working in the fields and shining shoes to earn money to survive. He loved gospel music. Brown's future style was shaped by the heartfelt singing and the dramatic moments when the preacher, with emotional shouts and screams, dropped to his knees, electrifying the congregation. James Brown was also captivated by the sound of popular jazz and R&B performer Louis Jordan.
"My influence was Louis Jordan, who recorded a song by the name of "Caldonia" and other things that were very big in the '50s and the late-'40s," he said.
By the age of 13, James Brown had formed his own trio. He later joined The Flames, a local group which played at Carolina bars, colleges, roadhouses - wherever they could find work. For the most part, the youthful performers emulated the sounds of successful R&B groups. But they included in their shows an original song, co-written by James Brown, "Please, Please, Please," a tune that launched his career.
"'Please! Please!' was probably the tune because it got me away from being a janitor. It got me away from doing menial work. And I had a chance to have some of the things I couldn't even dream of having because there was no way."
Recorded in 1956, "Please, Please, Please" was a million-seller that made James Brown a national figure, and became a highlight of his spectacular stage act. Backed by an 18-piece band and a group of dancers, his rough-edged, emotional vocals were punctuated by grunts and screams and accompanied with frenzied, intricate footwork and flying splits. James Brown created musical as well as performing styles. For example, this 1965 hit song:
"'Papa's Got a Brand New Bag' will probably be one of the most important things I've ever done in the way of changing the music [rhythms] around from two and four to one and three, which is 'funk,'" he said.
With "Papa's Got A Brand New Bag," James Brown originated funk, which later came to be called "soul" music. He followed it up a few months later with "I Got You (I Feel Good)," an even bigger hit.
While turning out a succession of hits, Brown became known as "The Hardest Working Man in Show Business." He performed in city after city with his charismatic show, touring virtually non-stop in the U.S. and abroad. At the same time, James Brown was working for civil rights - promoting black business ownership as the key to "real black power," encouraging black pride and urging young people not to drop out of school. In turbulent times, his message was positive rather than angry.
"Hostilities have been accented a lot, and it would probably be better if we accented love, and make things a lot easier," he said. "Troubled minds don't need to have fuel to make them more troubled."
Over the years, James Brown encountered business setbacks, tax difficulties and problems in his personal life. During the 1970s, when disco dominated the music scene, his popularity waned. But he made a comeback in the early-1980s, with several film roles and "Living in America," his first hit in years.
In 1986, James Brown was one of the first performers inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. With the exception of Elvis Presley, no pop artist had appeared more often on the music charts: 94 songs in the Top 100, and more Top 20 singles than any other recording artist to that time.
But in 1988, Brown fell afoul of the law. He spent two-and-a-half years in prison for aggravated assault and failing to stop his vehicle for police. He was pardoned of his crimes in 2003.
James Brown also received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and later talked about how he had tried to convey an uplifting message throughout his career.
"I've tried to teach through my music," he said. "I thought it was very important to build pride and motivation. And say one thing - that life is really a hard thing, but you can make it a lot better if you try to prepare for it, and try to make your young part of your life mean something. I had no choice. I didn't have anything. So whatever I got was more than what I had. And that's what I try to tell the kids. 'Hey, make your life count. Do something for yourself.'"
James Brown left an indelible mark on the music of his time, and influenced a host of other performers. His charisma, energy and originality were embodied in his joyous trademark shout.
"If you are an American or you're just a human being and got any blood going through your veins - AHHHOOWWW! I feel good," he said.
Brown, performed to the very end, giving back to his community. Three days before his death, Brown joined volunteers at his annual toy giveaway in Augusta. He planned to perform on New Year's Eve at B.B. King's Blues Club in New York.
"The Godfather of Soul", James Brown, who made generations of music fans feel good, dead at the age of 73.

Was it the Others?
Are we making light of an unfortunate event? Sadly, yes. Would we if someone was hurt? No. Probably. Anyway, word is she's moving in with the hobbit for now.
Fire destroyed the rented home of "Lost" star Evangeline Lilly in coastal Kailua on Oahu island Wednesday, officials said. Lilly was not at home, and no one was injured.
Two roommates were also not home when the fire broke out sometime after 6:30 a.m., authorities said. Investigators were searching for a cause.
"Unfortunately, it is true that the home she rented in Hawaii did burn down this morning," Lilly's publicist Cara Tripicchio said in an e-mail. "Evangeline was on set already when the fire occurred and luckily, her roommates were not in the house either.

...but not in the moment, because it's one bummer of a moment. M and M and K and M have divorced for a second time, finalization of which came down this week. Everyone's divorcing, it's just a very now thing to do. I would suggest that Kim go clubbing with Britney Spears but such a pairing would likely result in Kim clubbing Britney Spears, as opposed to them just going out for a night of pole-dancing and crotchshots.
Eminem and his high school sweetheart have finalized their second divorce, less than a year after they remarried.
The rap star and his wife, Kim Mathers, told a judge in Michigan they understand the latest divorce is final, and agreed to share custody of their 10-year-old daughter, Hailie Jade Scott.
Eminem filed for divorce less than three months after he and his ex-wife, Kim, remarried.Eminem filed for divorce less than three months after he and his ex-wife, Kim, remarried.
Neither Eminem, 34, nor Kim, 31, spoke to reporters after the brief court hearing Monday.
The pair remarried on Jan. 14, but Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, filed for divorce less than three months later.
"We both tried to give our marriage another chance and quickly realized that a wedding doesn't fix the underlying problems," he told a U.S. radio station at the time.
Having grown up together in the hardscrabble Eight Mile section of Detroit, the couple first married in 1999 in a secret ceremony in Missouri, and divorced in 2001.

Legendary concert promoter Bill Graham built up quite collection of rock n' roll memorabilia - concert recordings, posters, shirts, etc. - over his career. Since the 1991 helicopter crash that took Graham's life, his belongings have been owned by several entities, the most recent being a William Sagan, who purchased the collection from Clear Channel three years ago for $5 million. Now he is selling those items and, well, folks like Ray Manzarek of the Doors, Carlos Santana and Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, aren't happy. Why? because they aren't receiving royalties.
It does seem that artists should receive royalties off of sales from such a slick looking, professional site. Then again, do, and should, artists make money from the sale of used items? Hmmmm.
Grateful Dead Productions and Carlos Santana were joined by stars from Led Zeppelin and The Doors to bring the case against William Sagan.
They said they had not given permission for the sale of recordings, posters and photos on his site, Wolfgang's Vault.
Mr Sagan refused to comment, saying he had not been served with legal papers.
His online shop offers thousands of rare audio and video recordings of concerts and performances.
They were collected over a 30-year period by Bill Graham, a concert promoter who died in 1991.
Bob Weir said Mr Sagan had stolen the musicians' work
Mr Sagan bought his assets for $5 million from Clear Channel Entertainment three years ago.
However, he "simply doesn't have the legal rights to exploit and profit from the extraordinary success of these musicians", according to Jeff Reeves, who represents the acts in question.
Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead added: "We have never given permission for our images and material to be used in this way.
"He is stealing what is most important to us - our work, our images and our music - and is profiting from the goodwill of our fans."
The legal case, which is taking place in San Francisco, asks a judge to block any further sales, as well as awarding an unspecified level of damages and costs.

World's Worst Dog Owner for 2006? Britney Spears.
Apparently, pet owners who read The New York Dog and The Hollywood Dog, think the almost-former Mrs. Kevin Federline stinks as an animal lover.
“She once had three Chihuahuas...and never left home without at least one of them on her arm,” said editor Hilary O’Hagen. “As soon as she met K-Fed and had kids, they (the dogs) disappeared.”
Oops.
It should be noted that Britney bested the 2005 worst celebrity dog owner, her new-ex-BFF Paris Hilton.

It hasn't been a good week for Britney Spears. Over the weekend she tried to relax (with her shirt unbuttoned to her navel, but that's neither here nor there) with her sister at a Lakers game. Unfortunately for Brit, she was booed mercilessly. Was it her poor defense? She left at halftime, TMZ.com reported, and then later did an impromptu striptease at an LA peeler. She was forced to stop moments later to allow for the paid strippers to, erm, strip.
From being booed at the Lakers game to not being allowed to strip - it's getting close to rock bottom for the single mother of two.
After exposing herself with a little see-through number for her mom's birthday and then a cleavage-spilling blouse for the Lakers game Sunday night, Brit went over to Hollywood burlesque club 40 Deuce and, as the New York Daily News reports, decided to give the patrons a little show of her own between striptease acts.
Brit, cig in hand, "gyrated for the crowd," and bared her bra for all to see (not that we haven't seen it all before). Amusingly, the club owner actually had to ask the Unsinkable Ms. Spears to cede the stage to the pros, but she wouldn't budge. Finally, to refresh herself after all the exertion, Brit slaked her thirst, says the Daily News, with that classic cocktail of Champagne and Coke.

It wasn't a quiet weekend for phormer Phish phrontman Trey Anastasio. Ernest (that's his real name) was pulled over on a traffic check and proceeded to fail a sobriety test. Prescription drugs not prescribed for him were also found. Not immediately found - rolling papers, cheetos, a trampoline and a tape of Phish at the Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor, 1994. The Smoking Gun reports:
DECEMBER 15--Former Phish frontman Trey Anastasio was arrested early this morning on a driving while intoxicated rap and New York cops found the musician in possession of a variety of medications prescribed to another person. Anastasio, who is pictured in the below mug shot snapped by the Whitehall Police Department, was nabbed at around 3:30 AM following a traffic stop by Patrolman Andrew Mija. He failed field sobriety tests and was found to be carrying Xanax, Percocet, and Hydrocodone. The 42-year-old Anastasio, whose first name is Ernest, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, DWI-drugs, and driving without a license. Whitehall is located in upstate New York, just miles from Vermont, where Phish was spawned.

...for Chinese Democracy, their long-awaited new album. And we mean long-awaited - like, since 1994 or something. Axl Rose and the rest of the new Guns n' Roses (though hardly new - some of these new guys have been an official part of the band for close to a decade) have announced a tentative release date for Chinese Democracy. Mark March 6 in your rock n' roll calendars, dudes, that is the (tentative, remember!) day we shall rock out to studio versions of previously-leaked mp3s of new tracks like I.R.S., Better, The Blues and more.
Notice, however, that Axl said March 6, but he didn't say of what year. Axl... always keeping his options open.
It takes approximately eight weeks for an album to hit the shelves once it has been turned in to the record company. For whatever reasons, it appears that it may have been mistakenly inferred by management that this time period could be condensed to three weeks. With that being said, this is not a promise, a lie or a guarantee, but we do wish to announce a tentative release date of March 6. This is the first time we have done this publicly for this album. Others have made up all the other dates for their own reasons. We would like to assure the fans that everything in our power will be done to meet this date. Once it is finalized and official, you will be notified. If we are delayed for unseen reasons, you also will be notified as soon as possible in regard to a new date, and the album will be released as shortly thereafter as is possible. We thank you for your patience.
In the end, it’s just an album, but it’s one that I, the band, our record company and all involved believe and feel is a true Guns N’ Roses album. Ultimately the public will decide, and regardless of the outcome, our hearts, lives and our passion has been put into this project every step of the way. If for no other reason, we feel those elements alone merit your consideration. We do hope you can hold on just a bit longer, and if not, please take a break and we’ll be more than glad -- if you so choose -- to see you again later.

Happy Xmas, Extortion Allegations Are Over, If You Want It. In one of the most absurd, unusual and bizarre cases to come down Central Park West in awhile, Yoko Ono is accusing her former chauffeur of blackmail, charging that he demanded $2 million in order to not release embarassing audio tapes. Allegedly, these tapes hold recordings of Yoko criticizing the U.S. government (um, who doesn't criticize the U.S. gov't) and, weirdly, asking son Sean to criticize dad John. In a final touch, the chauffeur is accusing Ono of sexual hasrassment. File this whole mess under one big WTF.
Koral Karsan, 50, was arrested at his home in suburban Long Island on Wednesday and remanded in custody on $500,000 bail at Manhattan Criminal Court on Thursday.
The extortion attempt began on Friday, the 26th anniversary of Lennon's slaying by deranged fan Mark David Chapman, Ono's spokesman said.
"There is a letter demanding $2 million. He has threatened the lives of the victim, her friends and her family," Assistant District Attorney Maureen O'Connor told Judge Tanya Kennedy at Manhattan Criminal Court.
"There are people standing by, we are told, ready to kill on his orders," O'Connor said.
Karsan's defense lawyer maintained his client's innocence.
"We are going to vigorously dispute these charges," defense lawyer Patrick Kevin Brosnahan told reporters. "There are other issues" between Karsan and Ono, he said, but he refused to elaborate.

In a message to her fans, Britney Spears acknowledges her recent foibles, delivers several half-assed excuses, make a joke regarding her recent commando-going (and makes a sly stab at our sex-seeking subconscious, that marketing genius), and, surprise surprise, looks forward to the future. What's in store for 2007? Will the Britney Meter go up? Or down?

The Simpsons (heh) just aren't live performers, it seems. Following in sister Ashlee's footsteps, Jessica Simpson delivered a bizarre "performance" on Sunday evening's Kennedy Center Honors in our nation's capital. Halfway through a version of Nine To Five, done to fete honoree Dolly Parton, Jess mumbled something about being nervous and ran off. Dude, GET IT TOGETHER.
Singer-actress Jessica Simpson ended up in tears Sunday night after her performance during the Kennedy Center Honors appeared to go awry.
Simpson was on stage singing Nine to Five as part of a tribute to honouree Dolly Parton when she apparently stopped singing, uttered the words "so nervous" and exited the stage.
The stunned audience responded with silence. When the Dukes of Hazzard star and others participating in the tribute returned to the stage, it appeared she was crying.

So there is this thing called the internet. Often, people will search for things on this internet. At the end of each year, we sit around and discuss what people searched for most on this internet. And in 2006, it was Britney Spears. You may have heard of her.
Singer Britney Spears may not have released a record for some time but she was the most searched for term of 2006 using Yahoo's search engine.
More online searches were done about Spears than any other topic or person, the US net giant revealed.
The star, who recently announced her split from husband Kevin Federline, has topped the search hitlist five times out of the last six years.
"Why she keeps ranking top... is beyond me," said Cathi Early of Yahoo.
She said: "I don't think people are just sitting in front of their computers looking for Britney."

Eddie Murphy broke up with former Spice Girl Mel B and additionally is denying that he is the father of the child Mel is carrying. Um, did anyone even know that Eddie Murphy (above) and Mel B were dating? This is crazy. My world has turned upside down. Wait, now it's back to normal. OK.
Eddie Murphy, who has been romantically linked to Melanie Brown, has ditched the former Spice Girl and demanded that she take a paternity test to prove he's the father of her unborn child.
Murphy revealed the split with the former Scary Spice in an interview with Dutch TV show RTL Boulevard to promote his new film 'Dreamgirls'.
"I don't know whose the child is until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn't jump to conclusions, sir," he shot back when asked how he felt that Mel B was expecting his child.
"You’re being presumptuous, because we're not together any more," the 46-year-old said.

Seeking to put out the fire from her recent comments regarding the uncivilized nature of we Yanks, Gwyneth Paltrow is saying she never made those remarks in the first place. It's a she said/she said thing (though Gwyneth is both she's).
The Hollywood actress has hit back and issued a statement saying she was "deeply upset" over the article.
She added: "I never, ever would have said that. I feel so lucky to be American. I feel so proud to be American."
"This is what I said. I said that Europe is a much older culture, and there's a difference. I always say in America, people live to work, and in Europe, people work to live. There are positives in both."
The LA-born actress has been living in London for the past three years with Coldplay singer Chris Martin. They have two children, Apple and Moses.
I'd say there are positives in both Gwyneth Paltrow's films and Coldplay's music, but I think that's only half-true.

In case you didn't hear, Lindsay Lohan is heading into AA. Topping off a week that saw her get drunk, falsely declare she was assaulted by Paris Hilton, get drunk, make up with Paris Hilton, go out with Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, most likely get drunk while doing so, fall out with Paris again (and, by extension, Britney), get named 'Firecrotch' by Paris OH SNAP and get drunk again, it looks like Lindsay Lohan is heading into Alcoholics (not so) Anonymous. So says her mom.
Party girl Lindsay Lohan has been attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, her mother and publicist revealed.
Dina Lohan described it as a "positive" step for the 20-year-old actress, who was blasted by a movie boss over her antics earlier this year.
Lohan's publicist, Leslie Sloane, told a magazine: "She's been attending some meetings and it's going to be a slow process. This is a positive."
Lohan's mother told a radio station: "A lot of people she hangs out with go, and it's a positive thing.
"As a parent, you tell them what you can tell them, but she's 20 and I'm not going to say, 'Stay home and don't go out', that's a ridiculous thing to do.
"When you're 20 you have to learn a lot on your own. I'm there for support, and I'll obviously give her my opinion, but she's fine. She's very smart."
It was rumoured that Lohan had been spotted at an AA meeting earlier this week.

She must prefer the UK version of The Office, too...
According to the American Foreign Press, the pompous Paltrow said in an interview with Portugal’s weekend magazine NS that she prefers Britian to America.
“I like living here, because I don’t fit into the bad side of American psychology,” the “Shakespeare in Love” star said. “The British are much more intelligent and civilized than the Americans.”
The 34-year-old actress lives in the mother country with her British hubby, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, and the couple’s two children.
And despite the horrors of British cooking, the expatriate Paltrow declared that she prefers dinner conversation in Great Britain over that spoken in the United States.
“I love the English lifestyle, it’s not as capitalistic as America,” she said. “People don’t talk about work and money. They talk about interesting things at dinner.”
Like class division? I doubt Gwyn's been dining with the punters in Cricklewood.

The Britney Spears 2006 Ex-Crotch-aganza rolls on. Even right wing bellweather Fox News has an opinion. Here's John Gibson:
She's suddenly hooked up with Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan out partying every night, all night. These two are famous. One is known for a raunchy tape of her having sex with her then-boyfriend which got released to the public and sold a few million dollars worth. The other is famous as an actress who's been chewed out by her producer boss for staying out all night drinking, and lately has shown up for AA meetings. In addition, both these young ladies have evidently convinced young mother Brit to give up wearing underwear.
Oh won't someone PLEASE think about the children? Gibson continues:
It's OK if nobody notices. But when you're sliding out of the backseat of a car into a phalanx of paparazzi — snap snap, flash flash — and the fact you wear no underwear makes the papers, not good when you're before the judge later trying to make a case that you are a better parent than the husband who may have had a fling with a porn star.
Snap snap, flash, flash, OH SNAP. John, we could use some direction. Got a little advice for us?
A little advice, Brit: Stay home. Wear underwear. Don't get your picture taken much at all. It will help when it's time to stand in front of the judge in divorce court. When you're in that position, you need all the help you can get.
Thanks, John. See you never.

Apparently, the whole world is not in agreement with the fuseblog that celebrities like Britney Spears "accidentally" flashing their private parts for all the world to see is a step forward for mankind. The back-crotch-lash begins at the Toronto Star, which calls the trend "disturbing":
Britney Spears is the latest celeb to be repeatedly caught on film with her bare genitalia on full display, following in the footsteps of Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton. In Spears's case, her C-section scar is also visible, making for an image most civilized members of society really don't want to see.
The article then dares to ask what's on everyone's dirty mind: Are all of these slips on purpose?
"Of course they're doing it on purpose," says Toronto-based podcaster Stephen Knifton of Popstream Productions. "I think Paris Hilton was the first person to supposedly do it accidentally, but when you're a celebrity well-known just for being famous and you have no other discernible talent, then you're going to use whatever you have to stay famous. There is no such thing as bad publicity."
No, there isn't.
All of this, of course, begs the following question: Is Britney Spears paying Paris Hilton to be her friend? To be seen on the town together? That's not the question. The question is, How much?
