You know, I don't think they show Soul Plane in any class of the plane.
The occupants of the British Airways first class lounge at Heathrow were probably rather relieved last night that the 30-strong entourage of the US rapper Snoop Dogg were turned away.
Seven police officers were injured. One suffered a fractured hand, the others' injuries were more minor, mostly cuts and bruises.
According to reports, after being turned away from the first class lounge the rapper and his entourage - who were en route to Johannesburg where they have a gig tonight - moved on to a nearby duty-free shop.
They are alleged to have thrown bottles of whisky and argued with staff.
The police were called and officers were escorting the group away from the scene when a further disturbance broke out, Scotland Yard said.
"Police were called at 6pm last night to reports of a disturbance involving 30 people in a business lounge at terminal one," a spokesman said.
"The party was told that they would not be permitted to board their flight and officers then attempted to direct the group to baggage reclaim.
"A number of the group became abusive and pushed officers."

So does this mean that Kevin Federilne is recording a followup to PopoZao? Could it be worse than PopoZao?
If rumours are to be believed, pop starlett Britney Spears is expecting her second child.
Reports across the pond suggest that seven-month-old Sean Preston may very soon have a baby sister or brother after suggestions mum Britney is pregnant.
According to American newspapers, pals of Brit have confirmed her and husband Kevin Federline are expecting another child after a series of reports claiming the singer has developed a slight baby bump.
Brit was seen at the weekend in Las Vegas sporting a red bikini with passers-by declaring they couldn't fail to notice the 24-year-old was looking slightly larger than usual.
Earlier in the month Britney was apparently heard telling kids at the Dance for Kids studio in Malibu that she was sorry she couldn't keep up as she's pregnant.

Yikes. So, apparently MJ wants today's biggest hip-hop stars on his "comeback" LP, the first songle from which is scheduled to drop in November.
Embattled pop star Michael Jackson is eyeing a collaboration with rapper 50 Cent.
The first fruit of a potential pairing would likely appear on a mixtape spearheaded by DJ Whoo Kid, a member of 50 Cent's crew, who told Billboard.com he is heading to Bahrain in two weeks to take possession of tracks Jackson has been working on in his home studio.
50 Cent's spokesperson said the rapper has made no commitment to appear on the mixtape -- a DJ-produced compilation popular in the hip-hop world -- or on Jackson's next studio album, which will be released on his new Two Seas label.

So does the Hip Hop Summit For Purchasing Custom Cadillac Escalades come before or after the Hip Hop Summit For Financial Empowerment? Actually, this is not a bad idea.
LL Cool J is urging fans to be financially responsible.
The platinum-selling rap star spoke over the weekend at the Hip Hop Summit on Financial Empowerment.
The event, organized by multi-millionaire entrepreneur Russell Simmons, mixed stars like LL Cool J, Alicia Keys, Nas and T.I. with financial experts to provide advice on home ownership, budgets, credit cards and other financial issues.
"The biggest misconception probably comes from the hip-hop community itself … that the money lasts forever," LL Cool J said on Saturday. "You have to do the right thing with it."

As you may or may not know, Guns n' Roses have announced concerts at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City for mid May. First it was May 15 and 17, and now they have added two more. Which got me thinking: the 15th is a Monday. The 17th is a Wednesday. Albums drop on Tuesdays. Even when they announced more shows, they kept that Tuesday open. I bet they play a special private show that night. I bet that Tuesday the 16th is the day the long-awaited Chinese Democracy album drops.
You heard it here first!

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Authorities said a man playing the Easter Bunny at a Florida mall is accused of removing the head of the costume and hitting a customer.
Police reports said 22-year-old Arthur McClure punched Erin Johansson when she got upset that the photo exhibit was closing 10 minutes early Saturday night. The alleged incident was witnessed by dozens of people, including 15 children, at Edison Mall.
McClure said he never punched Johansson and that he was only trying to stop a fight between his wife, exhibit manager Crystal Frechette, and Johansson.
Frechette acknowledged punching Johansson and said the woman poked her as she closed the set. Mall management issued an apology.

A line from U2's 1992 hit One has been voted the UK's favourite song lyric.
The line "One life, with each other, sisters, brothers" came top of a poll of 13,000 people.
The song reached number seven in the UK chart when it was originally released, but a new version featuring Mary J Blige recently went to number two.
A lyric from The Smiths' song How Soon is Now? came second in the poll, followed by a line from Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit.
Here is the full lyric:
Is it getting better
Or do you feel the same
Will it make it easier on you now
You got someone to blame
You say...
One love
One life
When it's one need
In the night
One love
We get to share it
Leaves you baby if you
Don't care for it
Did I disappoint you
Or leave a bad taste in your mouth
You act like you never had love
And you want me to go without
Well it's...
Too late
Tonight
To drag the past out into the light
We're one, but we're not the same
We get to
Carry each other
Carry each other
One...
Have you come here for forgiveness
Have you come to raise the dead
Have you come here to play Jesus
To the lepers in your head
Did I ask too much
More than a lot
You gave me nothing
Now it's all I got
We're one
But we're not the same
Well we
Hurt each other
Then we do it again
You say
Love is a temple
Love a higher law
Love is a temple
Love the higher law
You ask me to enter
But then you make me crawl
And I can't be holding on
To what you got
When all you got is hurt
One love
One blood
One life
You got to do what you should
One life
With each other
Sisters
Brothers
One life
But we're not the same
We get to
Carry each other
Carry each other
One...life
One

Pop star Britney Spears and her husband were cleared of any wrongdoing by child welfare agents who visited their home in response to a hospital report of an injury to their infant son, her lawyer said on Wednesday.
The statement from attorney Martin Singer did not give details about the mishap that led to Saturday's house call by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, or DCSF.
But according to published accounts by the Los Angeles Times and People magazine, the Saturday visit to Spears' home in the beachfront enclave of Malibu came after her 6-month-old son, Sean Preston, fell from a high chair and hit his head.
People magazine said the baby slipped from his nanny's arms and fell to the floor as she was lifting him from the high chair and "something snapped in the chair."

...It pays to work at Starbucks.
It was a dream come true for a fan of hard rocking band Motley Crue. For one night, he filled in for injured drummer Tommy Lee.
The lucky guy, Harvey Warren, performed with the band Wednesday at the Enmax Centre in Red Deer, Alta., Motley Crue's publicist Dvora Vener Englefield said in a news release issued here.
“After playing multiple shows wearing a brace and taking anti-inflammatory injections, Tommy Lee's doctor instructed him to give his injured right hand wrist a break after his tendinitis made it difficult for him to perform,” Englefield said.
Warren, a Calgary resident who manages a Starbucks by day, moonlights as a drummer in the Motley Crue tribute band Broken Toyz.
When the show's promoter contacted Warren at work, he thought the call was a joke. But he soon learned that it was the real thing.
“Overall it went pretty well,” Warren said of the show. “I think the guys were all pretty happy. A couple of hiccups here and there, but it was songs I've never played before. Everybody was really appreciative and super nice, so it was good.”
