You're The One For Me, Mozzer

morrisseyapolloLast night at Harlem's famed Apollo Theatre, the legendary Morrissey took the stage for the first of five sold-out nights. The reason? Oh, a little thing called his FIRST ALBUM IN SEVEN YEARS (You Are The Quarry, due May 18).
Anyway, the show was phenominal. Morrissey the man was fit and energetic. Morrissey the performer was magnetic, delivering new material with a flair that rendered the songs instantly familiar, and singing the older stuff with gentility and emotion. Again, phenomenal. At left is a pic from a camera phone taken during Everyday Is Like Sunday. Below is the setlist, according to a post on his official site. Note three (!) Smiths tunes.

The First Of The Gang To Die / Hairdresser On Fire / The Headmaster Ritual / Don't Make Fun Of Daddy's Voice / Jack The Ripper / How Could Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel? / Let Me Kiss You / The World Is Full Of Crashing Bores / There Is A Light That Never Goes Out / Such A Little Thing Makes Such A Big Difference / I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday / No One Can Hold A Candle To You / I'm Not Sorry / Subway Train Everyday Is Like Sunday / All The Lazy Dykes / Irish Blood, English Heart //Hand in Glove
