Pop tart Britney Spears could be following in the footsteps of aging rockers Deep Purple if her rumored China tour comes to fruition later this year.
Is China ready for Britney? Who knows, but it's gearing up for the creaky British rockers regardless. Deep Purple is scheduled to rock Beijing and Shanghai later this week. Could a double bill be in the works?

Looks like the days of wild and willing groupies are gone, at least for sensitive pop-rockers (if they ever even existed).
Australian singer-songwriter Howie Day was busted in Madison, Wisconsin last Thursday for allegedly locking a woman in the bathroom of his tour bus after she refused to get down and dirty with him. He's also accused of trashing the cell phone of the woman's friend when she tried to call the police.
Apparently, Day followed the woman to the back of the tour bus when she asked to use the bathroom. When she shut him down, he shut her in.
"That was probably wrong of me," Day later told police. "But I felt violated."
Strangely enough, so did she.

First!
It seems that Justin Timberlake has definately fallen from grace from the world of Hip Hop. Mr. Rock-Your-Body, who had been a bridge artist among white pop and African-American hip hop fans has burned his bridge after dissing Janet Jackson. Seems that the whitest thing he could have done was to deny any knowledge of the breast-baring episode beforehand and then leave Janet twisting out on her own to take all the reponsibility.
Check out good quotage from Queen Latifah in Newsweek.
